When someone you love loses a person to suicide, it is hard to know what to say and harder still to know what to do. Whether they are grieving a partner, a child, a parent, or a friend, sponsoring their place at a retreat is one way to show up that they will carry with them long after they return home.
You can cover the full cost of a retreat or any part of it, and we will work with you privately to arrange the details. Some sponsors prefer to tell their loved one themselves, while others ask us to extend the invitation on their behalf. Either way, we take care to make sure your loved one feels welcomed and never obligated. Contact our office today.
We are here for you, too.
If you know someone who has been affected by suicide, we are here to help you best support them. Most people want to help and simply do not know how, because this kind of loss leaves even the closest friends and family searching for the right words. We have walked this road ourselves, and we are glad to talk with you about what your loved one may be feeling, what tends to help, and whether a retreat might be right for them now or further down the road.
The loss reaches further than most people realize.
